Like many small business owners, I've spent years wearing more hats than I can count. I've worked in community services, run businesses, built websites, managed social media pages, created content, and spent countless hours helping organisations communicate more effectively with the people they serve.

Over time, I noticed the same thing happening again and again.

Some of the best businesses I came across weren't struggling because they offered a poor product or service. They were struggling because nobody could see how good they were.

Their websites were outdated. Their social media was inconsistent. Their story wasn't being told.

Meanwhile, businesses offering less were often doing a better job of being seen.

That's where Handbrake Media came from.

I started Handbrake Media because I enjoy finding the gaps, spotting missed opportunities, and helping businesses present themselves in a way that reflects the quality of what they actually do.

I'm not interested in marketing buzzwords, chasing vanity metrics or selling services people don't need. I prefer practical solutions, honest conversations and marketing that feels genuine.

Most importantly, I believe regional businesses deserve access to quality marketing support without being treated like they're a city business with a city-sized budget.
